another printing idea.....

The idea of printing with fingers reminded me of another neat project we've
done. Each student, using an inking square (like the kind you use for
stamping), made a CLEAR print of one of their fingertips. I ran off and
enlarged each student's print which they used for the basis of their work
(size of the print was approx. 6"x8"). They made a tracing paper outline of
this print (outlining the main, important lines) and then proceeded to use
this as a starting point for doing their "print" in diff. artist's
styles....pointillism, cubism, Matisse-like, Warhol, etc....or diff.
techniques like straight lines-only, dots-only, etc. They were pretty
"impressive"...excuse my pun.
