My budget was miraculously increased today... believe it or not it was
tripled. I'm wondering about the Dick Blick etching presses. Anyone who has
used them for schools might have an opinion on them.
To be honest this took me by surprise and I want to spend the extra money
wisely but when I began to think of the nth degree of stuff I'll need to do
etchings including ventilation for having acid to use for etching plates and
probably goggles for safety and even just the cost of the plates.... it made
me wonder. We could do nothing but dry point and save dough. OR we could
make embossed prints with cardboard.
There is also no kiln and practically nothing else in the way of equipment in
the art room... and now I can spend some money on more than just materials
that will walk out the door with the kids.
If you were free to buy something special for your art room what would it be?
