For an example of work created entirely by digital means, using Painter
and Photoshop and a digital tablet, check out
http://webpages.marshall.edu/~jtoney/index.html

I've watched Allen Toney work, and he can sit there staring at the
monitor while he creates his artwork. It may seem unnatural, yet he has
become a master at this method of work. No scanning is involved, the art
is created as if it were brush on canvas. He outputs his final work for
sale as Iris prints from Nash Editions.
