Hopefully some of you will be going back to school with more (or some!)
access to computer graphics--

If you are new to MetaCreations' great graphics program, Painter--here is a
detailed tutorial on using the "image hose" brush. His goal is to have
everybody's painting look like his--but as an art teacher you can ignore
that <G>.

Painter also comes in a simpler version--Painter Classic-- (and much lower
price). IMHO either of these (and a small Wacom drawing pad and stylus)
should be your first choice for a graphics program for your students, Jr Hi
and up. (However, even your little ones can use its most basic tools, if you
teach them which tools to use to start with.) That's what I like about this
program--you can use it at your own level, from simple to professional....
