Hello everyone,

My name is Ken and I teach high school art in San Jose CA. Next year I have
an idea for a project that will use the design shape and structure of a
Japanese Kimono and by using collage media creat a relief design. I have
looked in the library and the book stores for any informaton on Kimonos and
their history. If anyone out there could help me find some resource material
on this I would be extremely gratefull. My idea was to let the kids know as
much about Japanese design and theory before they tackle this. I will be
presenting this to my Art 4 seniors and A.P. students but I need books, web
sites or any media sources that will have to do with Japanese art and design
philosophy and Kimonos themselves.
Thank you in advance,

Ken Schwab
