A Very valid point tho it redefines or refines the definition of violence
in the process. "The Street" (as the term is used in the US) and "The
Japanese Woman" or "Asian Woman" are two distinct contexts.

Let me ask you Peggy on which dark street in a "derelict quarter" you
would rather be dropped off at 'round midnight? (given that you would
prefer NEITHER.) the choice is between a major city in the US or one in
Japan (or Singapore for that matter) Tokyo or LA?

I know where I'd rather leave my wife or daughter. Of course I feel safer
because this is a rhetorical question. But there is a margin well beyond
that. I won't walk around LA alone, but Tokyo? You pick the time and
place--and costume. (and get to pay for the air and taxi fare ;) I'll be
there.

But I will take you up on your challenge and ask an Asian woman.

cheers
