I have to wonder how anyone can say children are traumatized by simple nudity?
Most children spend a great deal of time naked themselves, in their early
years, and they often have the opportunity to observe other naked people,
particularly their mothers. In mixed situations, such as public restrooms or
the Y locker rooms, children, both small boys and girls, often accompany their
mothers to use the facilities. When I go to the Y young boys often accompany
their fathers into the locker room to dress for swim or gym, and have plenty of
opportunity to see naked men parade around (must be a guy thing, my wife says
women are more modest). So while public nudity is forbidden, private nudity is
_expected_ in our society.
