NAEA OFFERS NEW RESOURCE FOR SECONDARY ARTS TEACHERS
RESTON VA: The National Art education Association announced the addition of
a new 624 page arts education resource Peterson's Professional Degree
Programs in the Visual and Performing Arts to the association publications
list. "It's a valuable resource, not only for visual arts teachers," says
Thomas Hatfield, NAEA Executive Director, "but an equally important source
for music, theatre, and dance teachers."
The new resource is a comprehensive directory to all accredited U.S. and
Canadian colleges and universities the grant undergraduate degrees in
studio art, music, theater, and dance. Includes profiles on 400 schools
with over 800 programs. It also includes handy quick-reference charts,
program descriptions, financial aid, addresses, and application steps.
"If we want to encourage our students to continue their education in the
arts," states Hatfield, "we must also provide them with information on
where they can continue that study. This directory does just that."
Peterson's Professional Degree Programs is an indispensable resource for
every art, music, dance, and theatre department, career center, guidance
office, and school library.
