Wonderful summer to everyone! Enjoy that you're not hiding from the 108ish
temp's we've had in Tucson...Wanted to touch base with you all. I'm still
job searching and YES, do have my AZ teacher certification now! (All leads
gratefully appreciated, as before!)It looks as though two Reservation
schools are interested in me: Navajo 1-3rd grade and Tohono O'odtham
Nation at High School level.I'm anxious to receive any/all
appropriate information on
lessons or work with such people and age groups. Are any of you presently
teaching art on a Reservation? What do you/your district/system feel is
appropriate? Do you know of any texts that specifically address such
populations? Do you have contact with any artists, speakers or teachers
that might be accessible to me in Arizona, that might be advantageous?
Please let me know. Thank you very much for being my network!Lisa Levenson
