My school district wants to put interns everywhere and fast to take
advantage of the lower classroom size money coming our way. We need lots
of teachers. Administrators only see the pool of teachers drying up.
These people will not be ready to teach and needs lots of help. In the
past our new teachers and "interns" did not get the help they have needed.
Many were fired outright and a sbu was placed in the classroom until
someone else could fill the position.

Student test sources are going to be looked at closely to see if lowering
class size will help our students. How do you feel about having a new
source of teachers added to your staff with no experience?

My concern is we are going to be judged by our test scores. Don't we need
to be very careful in picking who is in the classroom instead just putting
a warm body there with 20 students?

This is the new big issue and affects everyone. We must give our input
before our school districts jump in with both feet.
