When we started to develop computers in art it began slowly.
Three 486 machines and a hand scanner. We opted for DOS
as the students used these machines at home (which let
them research and type assignments and bring them in to
desktop publish).
It took about a year to figure out what we could and
could not do. Collage was an area that we knew as
teachers and our art activities and art studying followed
this theme.
We currently use three 486 machines, two pentiums a flatbed
scanner and colour printer. The main software we use is
Adobe Pagemaker Photoshop, Corel 5, and Foto Touch colour,
These packages have great cut and paste control, perfect
for collage!
