[teacherartexchange] metal art clay

Has anyone used metal art clay in their classroom?

Part of my curriculum is metal working, jewelry for 8th grade. I was thinking this would fit both requirements. I have extensive knowledge in working with clay but have never worked with art clay. What do you think, would it work well for 8th graders?
