[teacherartexchange] Here's a tip for joining clay

Hi, All,
At the national conference I went to a clay workshop. The presenter had a
great tip. She gives the kids toothbrushes and about an inch of water in a
cup. They wet the toothbrush and brush the edges to rough the clay that they
want to join. I bought 10 toothbrushes for $1 at the dollar store and I tried
it with my students. It works great!! The toothbrush hold just the right
amount of water and brushing is so much easier then scoring.
