    I have taught elementary, junior and senior high during my career and
gained something from each and every one. First of all, you will have a
much broader understanding of art education and how one level feeds into
the other. Secondly, you will have had the opportunity to teach a wide
variety of media and techniques. And finally, each age group brings
something different to the table in terms if creativity, experience,
imagination, ability and discipline. It's only natural to have anxiety when
contemplating a new job, a new age group or a less familiar medium. If I
learned I were to teach computer art now, for example, I would have to do
some homework and get myself up to speed. Sounds like a wonderful
challenge that will enrich you and your students, too. I wish you the best.
