How to look at an object and break it down into basic shapes so they can
draw it - some of my classroom teachers sit in on my classes just to learn
how to draw things, and I find they draw more with the kids in their own
classrooms.

Primary & secondary colors - I know it's basic, but it's a start!

How to create art lessons to go with children's books. The more you
integrate art into their regular curriculum the more likely they are to use
it.

I took the "Art in the Elementary Room" in college because it was required.
It was filled with theory and aesthetics and DBAE, but nothing useful the
teachers could use. These are just off the top of my head.
