artists and environments

Thanks all for the suggestions I 've been getting. I've added Christo and
Jeanne-Claude to my list as well as Ansel Adams. I do a power point on all
my table artists to have running during Open House and use through out the
year. While I was researching Christo I found this great site
and found Christo and his wife, Jeanne-Claude to be really interesting
people! They sure fit the environmentalist artist category. There is a
section on the Gates project which will be installed in Feb. 05 for 14
days in NY. I e-mailed the suggested name (their photographer ) for
permission to use images from the site and to my surprise he e-mailed my
back almost immediately and has been a great source of help.
Ansel Adams was also a great environmentalist- he spoke before Congress
about protecting our national parks. I have power points almost finished
on Christo and Jeanne-Claude, Adams, Winslow Homer, Georgia O' Keeffe,
Grandma Moses (never used her before and she did such interesting
landscapes) and Rousseau (he used to go to the botanical gardens in
Paris to study the plants, etc.)I need to decide on the last 3 so thanks
for all your help-still need to research a couple more names you all
have sent!
