Re: SOS for 50th anniversary -Rosel

We had a great 50th at my school about 10 years ago! Everyone in the
school, teachers too, made an elaborate paper hat using construction
paper. As these hats were completed, they were moved to the classrooms
until the big day arrived. It was a blast to see these hats on

Another thing that I did was a collaborative thing with my 5th grade. I
threw the pieces for three 3 layer tiered birthday cakes, three plates,
and three cakestands to go under the plates. My fifth graders all made
small ceramic St. Johns Students doing various things to sit on the
various levels and the plates of these three birthday cakes/stands. We
had cheerleaders, graduates, various sports teams, artists, singers,
etc. The students glazed the cakes, the cake stands and the clay
candles. They were spectacular. These three ceramic cakes and stands
were placed on the tables where the cake was served to the whole school.
We also painted banners.
