How do you grade the assignments and how much weight do you apply to the
sketchbook grades? I give 10 points per sketch.

How often do you require outside assignments in the sketchbooks? (Are they
optional or required?) They have 5 sketchbook assignments per grading
period (six weeks)

Do you give random assignments or are they related to the work being done in
class? Random

What are the requirements as to how they are done...quick small
sketches, contour line drawings, completed page drawings with shading, etc.
Contours, studies and complete draswing with mixed media.

How often do you require that they be turned in? If you have a certain time
that they are to be turned in, what are the consequences for not doing so?
How much extra time do you allow? They have six weeks they get 10 points
per sketch, and if they don't have it they don't get it no make ups. It will
hurt their grade and it has.

How important are outside sketchbook assignments? Good to do important to
some degree but not my main focus. I do this with A.P.only

What kind of sketchbook do you require? Do you accept LOOSE sketchbook
assignments as opposed to all drawings being contained in one book? Do your
students make their sketchbooks? I give them a good sketchbook to use ,
bound and with many papges.

How do you handle it when students say they are unable to purchase a
sketchbook? I give them one.
