Thanks for your quick reply, Jackie. I do pretty much as you've described. (Especially the part about teaching in units of study.) What I'm referring to, however, is a computer software package (or program; I don't know the difference), which regiments the input of all courses of study, so that all the syllabi of the county, state, etc. follow the exact same format. I'm wondering if I'm the first teacher at our Getty list to be asked to straightjacket his/her syllabus to fit a columned format such as I described in my original post.
