Re: "typical" art budget?

I think you should tell your administrator that there is no such thing
as a typical art budget. They must be able to tell you at least a ball
park figure for what you can spend so that you can create and stay
within a budget. Is this their first year for art in this school? See
if you can find out who the last art teacher was. I would be wanting to
know more than they are telling you, for sure. I think that there are
"typical budgets" that are ample, and "typical budgets" that would have
you using paper and pencils throughout the year, scrounging constantly,
having bakesales, etc. Good luck!
