Can you think of any general questions regarding teaching and/or education
that might be posed by a selection committee?
This summer I will be going to California as one of 39 Disney Teacher of the
Year Honorees. The selection process continues for the 39 of us, and an
Outstanding Elementary Teacher, Outstanding Middle School Teacher, and Outstanding
High School Teacher are chosen, as well as The Outstanding Teacher of the
Part of the selection process includes each of us giving a speech and showing
slides. We will each also be asked a different question about education. We
will have a minute to think about the answer and two minutes to answer. I
have been trying to come up with questions that I think might be asked. These
questions will relate to EDUCATION in GENERAL, as the 39 winners are from all
grade levels and subjects. Can anyone think of general questions that might be
asked in relation to teaching and/or education?
Although I don't hold any expectations of winning, I do want to prepare
myself. I understand that the questions are the type that have neither right nor
wrong answers. I'm excited and honored to represent you all as the only visual
arts teacher in the country to participate!
Thanks for any help!
