Love this idea. Hope I can remember it when I'm ready to retire.

When a friend of mine retired, she invited the entire county of art teachers to a sale of her artroom collections from over the years. This included books, videos, lesson folders, photo folders, still life props, and you name it. You know the scenerio...we save just about everything....I think she even had 100's of egg cartons! The proceeds????? towards a retirement cruise trip for herself and her family. We really didn't care....good gracious, it takes years and years to accumulate this stuff and it was well worth the "asking price" that she would apply to her "golden treasury of ART ROOM findings". She had placed prices on everything before we came so that negotiating wasn't necessary. Maybe at some point you'll be at that stage. It was so great and we had a ball too. It was held during POST-planning when we were all rejoicing about the end of the year!
