This year, our school began participating in a fundraiser called "Market
Days". I don't know if this is available in all states or just around the Ohio
area. People order (mostly frozen) food items from the Market Day
organization--order forms are sent home once a month. The food items range from cookie
dough to chicken entrees to pizzas--there are hundreds of items from which to
choose. I have not tried any of the food, but fellow teachers say it's wonderful.
Then, once a month, teachers help unload the Market Day truck and pack up the
orders. Customers pick up their orders and pay shortly after--so, unloading,
sorting, and pick-up happen within maybe a two hour time range. (Ours was
5-7 PM on a Friday.)
We have raised several hundred dollars each month through Market Days. Has
anyone else out there worked with this fundraiser?
