Did you know that there is a whole NEIGHBORHOOD based upon his
paintings...the houses, arbors, gazebos, street lamps, landscaping, etc.
all look like his paintings. So he says. I just wonder how he is able
to reacreate that "light" effect that he always does in his
neighborhood. Wouldn't be the same without it, would it? DId you
knowthat whenyou buy one of his paintings, they offer to add (for a
price, of course) "highlights". Like an "enchancemt." They also want
to sell you a lamp to put over it. It's such a gimmicky thing, he's the
master of marketing. I think sometimes the American Public will buy
anything. It's like mind control in art. My friend's mom just bought
one. She paid a fortune for it. She told my friend "when I die, THIS
will be YOURS!!!" To sell, she thought, lol. Oh, try not to think
about it too much. I saw him in Carmel, Ca. giving a "gallery talk."
There were HUNDREDS of people clammoring for a seat in this courtyard
area. Oh...the add-ons they try to talk you into make me nutty! You've
touched a raw nerve!
