San D,
Regarding your kid who turned in your demo as his finished drawing...

I had a second grader last year who liked my demo for "bad hair day" so
much...he laughed at it so hard when I was drawing it, as I added some
pretty funny things to it all tangled up in the patterned hair. He
asked when I was drawing it if he could have it. I said, "no, do your
own!" Five minutes later, as I was circling the room, I looked down at
his picture and said, "Wow! Look at that!" and then snapped to it that
he had taken my drawing and added on to it himself....he drew
breasts!!!! I didn't know whether to laugh or be stern for a second,
but I decided it really was WRONG for him to take my drawing, ESPECIALLY
after he had asked and I told him no! So, into the next classroom he
went to sit and think about why he was in there. WHen I came in to see
him, he said he had no idea what he had done wrong!!!! Some kids!!
