Here is an outline from Randy Menninghaus - Art One Curriculum. I could not
get this to save as an html file without doing a LOT of extra work.

1. Studio Art Experiences A. Self Expression

Drawing (5 or more ) Still life, Value studies, Imagine/Zipper, , intro to
pen and ink, Creating space using perspective , portraits, figure drawing,
color theory, grid enlargement

Painting (4 or more)- brush and blending, Monochromatic unit, Painting from
Photo reference, technique using tempera/acrylic/ watercolor, Intro to
Artistic style

Sculpture (2 or more) paper mache' item, plaster sculptures, plaster strips,
paper sculpture, oil clay morphs

Printmaking (2 or more) creating an art work using stencils, block print,
silk screen, mono prints

Graphic Design (2 or more) cover of folder, handmade art books, flyer /c d
design, advertisement

Contemporary Crafts tie-dye, art stamping, weaving, paper marbling,
scratchboard, metal foil

2. Cultural Heritage B: Cultural heritage

Grant Wood, M.C. Escher, Mary Cassatt, Vincent Van Gogh, Italian
Renaissance, Henri Rousseau , Georgia O'Keeffe, Jacob Lawrence Edward
Hopper, "Story of Painting", Norman Rockwell, Maria Martinez , the Wyeth
family, Andy Warhol , Pablo Picasso

3.Written & Oral Expression C: Written and Oral Expression

introduce a simple format of how to evaluate works of art,

student demonstrate use of formal qualities of art while critiquing,
Students keep a notebook and a drawing sketch book.

4.Career Prep. Career Prep Guiding Principles

- post information, provide speaker when available

5. Performance Guiding Principles

- This class considers good attendance, being on time & being a positive
class member important The student's grade reflects this.

6. Assessment A. Self Expression B. Cultural Heritage C. Written &Oral
Guiding principles

- students are graded on studio art work, notebook, sketchbook, performance,
& independent art work.

7. System wide Technology Benchmarks C.P. Student use computer, s canners,
