Interesting Teresa,

What exactly is "Japanese bookbinding"?
I am not familiar with this material; or is it a process?
I assume it is some exotic form of twine?
I like the idea of making sketch books as a first activity, the opportunity
to make them truly an expression of the individual is present and the cost is
a fraction of a purchased product.
I always wanted to take bookbinding in college but it was held at the same
time as my Major classes and I couldn't fit it in to the schedule.
I'm sure there must be some good texts out there on the subject.
Perhaps a printmaker will step forward to lead the way......
