Hi,
How about something on the special effects company "Industrial Light and
Magic"? They are located in Marin County, CA. They were the pioneers in
movie special effects.

Subject: a little poll

In the past I have named my table groups after artists with some common
thread. One year all men, one year all women, one year all began with the
letter C, on year all American artists...you get the picture.

Anyway, I am trying emphasize art careers a bit more in my curriculum. So I
thought I would name the table groups after careers with a couple artist
under each title.

For instance:

Architect: Frank Lloyd Wright, Mia Lin (pardon my spelling!)

Costume Designer: Erte (I use him because our school district owns a few of
his bronzes) and the person who did The Lion King (I always forget her
name!)

Graphic Artist:

Anyway...you get the idea. So here is the question...what would you rank as
the most important art related careers and the premier artists associated
with that career. I would not mind someone considered a master artist and
someone contemporary.

thanks a bunch!
