It's all in your approach. My students have to record their ideas, usually
more than one solution in their sketchbook. A "Rubric" for each lesson tells
them what is expected for the grade they choose to earn and includes
assessment for quality. I never get asked for ideas -since we brainstorm how
to approach and research each project. They're graded on their input from
beginning to end. Usually,after they hear my response the first time -they
