I have a herniated disc between my 8th and 9th vertibrae. I've learned to
live with it. I opted not to have surgery after reading all the horror
stories. I just have to be careful about how I turn because I will
occassionally get a spasm. It will shoot all the way down my back into my
side. I have a space on my right side that is numb to the touch.
How long have you had it? For two years, I pretty much couldn't do anything.
But it's getting better, especially if I stay active and keep my weight down.
It's been about 7 years since the original injury.
