Friends-
       If any of you live within a day's drive to Minneapolis, I would
encourage you to get yourself to the Walker Art Center for the Alice Neel
Retrospective that is up until Sept. 2. It is sensational!!!!! I have such
admiration for a woman who could paint a self portrait nude at age 80!!! The
entire exhibit is extraordinary and it is so cool to see her development. A
real bonus is a video of her painting....next to the painting!
       There is also a Degas exhibit at the MIA. I'm planning another trip to
Minneapolis...back to the Walker and to the MIA for the Degas. My daughter
says they (MIA) also have an interesting Turned Wood exhibit.
