Hi Bunki-

Yes, I do!! Want to talk about those non-motivated students, that is! I am
part of the exodus- moving to HS from Elem...and need all the advice I can
get. I feel comfortable with subject matter/curriculum- although I still
need and will be needing advice and ideas...BUT, what I feel nervous about is
the kids- classroom management stuff I guess. I could tell you the difference
between a 1st grader and a 3rd grader in a heartbeat, but I don't really know
what to expect from a 9th grader, 10th grader etc. I am sooooo excited about
the move, and I know I will love it and the kids once I have conquered the
first few days/weeks. I saw somewhere (on this list, maybe?) that Elem. art
teachers have the toughest schedules, Middle School art teachers have
discipline problems to contend with, and HS art teachers have students who
don't want to work. Hmmm......what DO you do with a student who doesn't want
to do anything?
