Sketchbooks--a question about logistics

Date: Fri Jul 13 2001 - 20:00:29 PDT

I've required about 1 drawings every other week for all my students (usually
an assigned subject, sometimes their choice) and this is figured into their

What I CAN'T figure out, though, is how to go about grading the darn things!
There's no time to do it at school (given all the other after school duties
at the boarding school where I teach) and so it's something that has to be
done in the evening.

Last year I started asking them to just turn in the drawing--and not the
sketchbook--because I couldn't figure out how to carry them all home with
me. I tried this my first year there and I'd have a stack of sketchbooks
almost as tall as I am!

How do you do this? Do you grade them at school or take sketchbooks home or
just take drawings home?
