Hi All,

Thanks for your thoughts on the matter. It is interesting to know that some
of you have spent time thinking about this issue too. I think that something
all of us should keep in mind is that some of the work we do is done outside
of school on our own time and that work should be posted on our own site not
a school site so their is no problem with ownership. My perspective tutorial
is on my own site, not my school site. The perspective site was something
that I developed on my own time outside of school and that site is not at
issue, it is staying up!

On my school site I decided to have them change the email contact address
from the school server to my own personal email address. I will also add a
notice stating the dates that I worked at the school and that the site
documents my work and the work of my students at that time.

An issue that some of you raised is the importance of letting the next person
know and the school know that it would be unethical for the new person to put
their name on my old site. They should start their own.

Thanks for the responses.

I am moving to another middle school that is giving me more opportunities to
do things with technology. It should be an exciting time and I will also be
in charge of the school web site. Of course I will let you know when the new
site is up.

Harold
