Otters are in Missouri - they were reestablished about 20 years ago - one of
our
Conservation agents takes in two pups every so many years and raises them
in his home like children - I mean - they even sleep with him, have
refrigerator privileges - their own pool etc. He shows them to the public
every so often and
they are the funniest creatures to watch - not as cuddly as they look though -
he has scars to show for it. He later acclimates them to the wild and begins
again
with a new pair. Look up Missouri Conservation Magazine for more info on our
Otters - the Conservation agents name is Glenn Chambers. Roberta
