Re: Use for old mini-blinds?????

Date: Tue Jul 10 2001 - 06:43:18 PDT

DALLAS, Texas (AFNS) -- The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has
determined that some imported, non-glossy, vinyl mini-blinds can present a
lead poisoning hazard for children six years old and younger. The CPSC has
not issued a recall on the products, but recommends that these blinds be
removed from homes where children ages six and younger may be present. Adults
and older children generally are not at risk because they are not likely to
ingest lead dust from the blinds.
