In our unit studying the Olympics this year the students created a Greek coin
using metal repousse. I took each of their pictures with a digital camera
which they used for inspiration. After they finished their coins. They
wrapped it around a piece of circular scrap mat board and put a felt backing
on it. They looked great!
The same project could be used for a state coin.
