On of my color wheel assignments has been a chinese food
box. (with acrylics) I take a white chinese food container,
make a pattern, and give it to all of the kids. Their
designs have been thumbnailed (and of course discussed) all
ready and consist of 4 sides, which they replicate on the
box (which is flattened). One side is done in the
primaries, one in the secondaries, one in the teritaries,
and the other in black and white. Oafter folding them up we
then make handles out of wire, and insert them. Display
with chopsticks and fortune cookies, and these boxes are
'cool beans'...also makes you wonder, hmmmm, why ARE those
boxes white?
