It's the Mixed up files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler. There's an old video
with Ingrid Bergman and Gilda Radnor in it. The book is actually about two
children who try to solve the mystery of an angel statue donated to the
Metropolitan Museum of Art that might have been done by Michelangelo. You
can write the musuem and they'll send you some info on the book.
The statue is not real, but there was a cupid found at the French Embassy
that they say could have been done by M. Janet
