Dear Teacher,

I asked you to pay attention to what happens if Social Security becomes
mandoratory for all. This will directly effect your pension through STRS
and CALPERS in California and in ANY OTHER state that has the right to a
separate pension system.

This is all part of the SS reform being pushed in Congress.

Your state representatives are well aware of what is happening. They just
don't know how you feel about it. If you don't say "NO I DON'T WANT IT",
then they think its no big deal. Its too late once it is passed. It will
suck dry out pension plan. That is the bottom line.

You must speak out so they know you do not want to be required to pay into SS.

Thank you.

To the Honorable _________________

I am writing to urge you to vote against mandatory Social Security. I have
worked all my life as a school teacher and faithfully paid into my CASTRS
fund. My retirement fund has been managed well. I deserve the peace of
mind a secure retirement will bring.

If teachers are required to contribute to Social Security it will break my
retirement fund and it will only keep the options to support the Social
Security System.
