Well it sure is good to be back and thanks for all the welcome back messages.
I have a question connected to a project I am planning. Have any of you had
your young student painting on canvas, and if so with acrylic paints or
tempera? Did you prime the canvas or paint on it unprimed?
I have done work with my students when they painted on canvas, unprimed
with acrylics, we were studying Faith Ringgold and made a really big and
beautiful painted quilt. Our school is 25 years old this year and I would
like to make a "mural" but on canvas, where all the students made
selfportraits(I mean a head to toe picture). I am interested if anyone has
done anything similar and also of some referral to art history as I have
not started looking at that part yet.
Happy to be able to tap into some of the great resources you people are.
Best regards from the far north, where we are seing a lot more of the sun
every day now.
