What a great idea. Ireland being a tax haven for artists, there's plenty to
choose from. My favourite is a public artist John Kindness. His work has a
great sense of humor that appeals to the children. He has worked in New
York and is now back in Dublin. My 3rd & 4th graders particularly loved his
soda cracker mosaic of Mr American Express( soda crackers were put in the
toaster oven for various shades). His recent work is a series of.animal
mosaic sculptures based on " I know an old lady who swallowed a fly"
Children could then make paper mosaics of animals and create a new animal.
