Dear Teacher,

You may not be aware of how serious the contemplated change of mandatory
social security will be for our pension system. The California Teacher's
Association is urging you to write or call your congressman or woman now .
We need them to support our STRS retirement and vote NO.

To the Honorable _________________

I am writing to urge you to vote against mandatory Social Security. I have
worked all my life as a school teacher and faithfully paid into my CASTRS
fund. My retirement fund has been managed well. I deserve the peace of
mind a secure retirement will bring.

If teachers are required to contribute to Social Security it will break my
retirement fund and it will only keep the options to support the Social
Security System.
