As we approach the new millenium, we begin to prepare for the largest
global celebration in all of our lifetimes. It's a really incredible
bond between cultures around the world. How could we incorporate this
very powerful theme into our classrooms?

Here in Raleigh, there is a New Year's Eve celebration and this year,
they plan to recruit the schools for the Millennium Celebration. I'm
presenting to my faculty on Monday on how we could involve our school in
this celebration and I'm looking for some ideas from y'all (like always-
you all inspire me). The theme of Raleigh's Millennium Celebration is
"Honoring our Past, Envisioning, our Future," "Millennium Trails," and
"Share the Light, Ignite the Spirit."

I hope to "ignite" a little discussion on how we all can use this
special time to our advantage in our classrooms.
