Amanda, You could do murals- that uses a lot of paint ! Or you could exchange
with another schoolin the district that may need paint and has something you
two want.
African- we just did paper weaving in the black, red and green of Quanzi(sp")
Kwanzie. We did cut the basic lines for weaving but gave the kids 2 other
colors to weave. We started with basic reds all start over, green start under,
also they could take magic marker in black and draw repeat designs on the
squares of African design. 2nd weaving - thick, thin, thin thick or other
patterns. We also introduced a 4th color strip that was glues in-between the
cuts (jail bars). After these strips were glued on, we had the kids turn over
their weaving so it would be less confusing. Now they could use different
patterns of thick and thin and 2 colors. When they finished and turned it
back to the side where the strips were glued - it was a big surprise and the
kids loved it. Hope this helps. Gail
