Dear Folks, just wanted to put a plug in for the Aboriginal cave art
which is MUCH older than the caves in France. I think almost 40,000
years to Laceaux's 24,000. National Geographic has a recent video (in
our school system) on Australian Aborigines and it has wonderful images
of the cave paintings (and the people). Maybe viewing that or some of
the online sites may inspire a different approach. If I remember
correctly their cave paintings had more pattern and line. And their
artwork is often a sort of spiritual map of the land they hold sacred.
Anyway....good luck and HAVE A SWELL WELCOME ALL!!
