This is from the right-left brain person that is organized (hee hee).

I collected pizza boxes from the lunch room. They can stack and are perfect
for scrap paper. If you have too much to fit in the pizzas get your school
office to save the xerox paper boxes. ( I use both). Line the pizza box with
freezer paper if it has a greasy bottom. I usually can find some that are
hardly stained. Label them as the following:

Colored paper scraps
Fancy paper scraps which includes metalics, animal skin and wallpaper and
dyed paper. I even save the rejects that we did with watercolor and
printing.
Textured paper scraps

I even use the pizza boxes to store class projects that aren't completed yet.
Each class has one. Smile nicely at the Pizza man. Maybe he will donate new
ones.
