Credit for our spring online class

I have received several individual questions asking if the credit offered for our spring online class is graduate credit.
The short answer is no.

ASU is offering continuing education credit which is sufficient for most LA teachers to get "salary point" credit. To keep the total time required to complete class moderately low we decided not to include all the assignments ASU would require to justify graduate credit.

I would love to get a short note from any of you who think you might be interested in taking an online class that is designed for graduate credit, even though the work load and the ASU fees would be higher than for a continuing education class. If there is sufficient demand we might want to explore making graduate online classes available in the future.

For those of you who would like to know more about this spring's online class please check out the information on ArtsEdNet at

Thanks to those of you who have already signed up for the spring class.
For the rest of you, please join us. It will be fun.
