As an Art on a cart teacher, I have many boxes with scraps. Each box
has different things:
2. Const. paper
3. Material box- felt, material from sewing, etc.
4. Wallpaper scraps
5. Yarn, ribbon, lace,etc. box
6. Magazine box.
All are labeled. They know at the end of class they are to put things
back in the right box but I still have kids putting things in the wrong
box. Alot of times I have volunteer kids that go through the boxes and
put them where they are suppose to.
Sue, You said it takes you two to three hours after school to organize
your cart. Have the children do that for you. Today after lunch, I had
two girls that organized my whole cart and organized it better than I
could. All the same size papers in a stack and in same colors. They did
a super job and I gave them both a soda for doing it. It sure saves me
alot of time.
Art Fair name. When we first had our art show, we called it the ART
YARD. We had wire hanging up with art hanging from clothes pins, art on
the walls, sculpture on tables. Art every where. The parents loved it.
Just an idea.
