Excellent. I am so glad that you posted that to the whole group. Especially
for those who believe that "you can't grade what we do." I am carrying it one
step further with my high school students. I make them write on a separate
sheet of paper how they met each standard and turn it in with the work. They
really pay a whole lot more attention when they "see" how their grade is
determined. It enables them to use a rubric more successfully to determine
their grade as they work. I don't find it takes any longer than sitting there
trying be fair with some sort of off the wall subjective reasoning process.
